Our own custom soil mix, blended specifically for premium grass. Fill the cup to about 0.2" from the top — you may have a little extra, which is normal; just save the rest for topping off later.

Watering changes as the grass grows. At first, mist the surface with the spray bottle 2–3 times a day so it never dries out. Once the grass is about ½ inch tall, switch to slowly pouring water onto the grass for a deep soak—stop as soon as the lower part of the cup darkens so water does not run out the bottom. After the roots develop into an established grass mat, transition to the watering bulb. Check the soil and cup regularly, refill only as needed, and remove the bulb if water begins pooling or draining. See the Setup Guide for the complete staged schedule.

The kit includes a premium fine-bladed grass variety commonly used on golf-course putting greens. It is real living grass and requires regular care.

Initial sprouts typically appear around days 6–10. Allow another 2–3 weeks of growth and a few trims for a fuller, refined appearance. Temperature, moisture, and other indoor conditions affect timing.

With suitable light, watering, trimming, and indoor conditions, a cup may remain healthy for several months. Because it is a living plant, individual results vary.

Unopened seeds remain viable for 1–2 years when stored in a cool, dry place. Once planted, germination depends on conditions.

Overwatering can allow water to leave the cup. Follow the Setup Guide, stop deep-watering as soon as the lower cup darkens, and keep the kit on a water-resistant surface away from electronics.

The bulb can become hot enough to cause burns. Do not touch it during use, unplug it before assembly or adjustment, and keep water away from electrical connections.

This kit contains small parts, soil, seed, water, and an electrical light that becomes hot. Keep it away from children and pets unless closely supervised, and ask a veterinarian about any pet-specific concern.
